Auburn City Council to Meet with Assemblyman John Lemondes Regarding Home Rule Request for Hotel Occupancy Tax in the City of Auburn

The Auburn City Council is set to convene with NYS Assemblyman John Lemondes to address the City Council's plea to the State of New York Legislature for Home Rule Legislation aimed at establishing a 5% Hotel and Short-Term Rental Occupancy tax in the City of Auburn. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 7 pm at Memorial City Hall, first-floor Council Chambers, located at 24 South Street, Auburn, NY.

During this meeting, as stated, "This meeting is open to the public and following a presentation of the topic, the meeting will be open for the public to ask questions and provide comment following the rules of procedure of the Auburn City Council." Additionally, for those unable to attend in person, "The meeting will also livestream on the city of Auburn’s website at www.AuburnNY.gov/Livestream".
