Annelies Bergmann named ECAC Hockey goaltender of the month for October

Junior goaltender Annelies Bergmann has been recognized as the ECAC Hockey MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month for October. During the month, Bergmann made 197 saves and achieved four shutouts, helping her team to a 6-0-0 record.

One highlight was her 39-save shutout against No. 14 Yale at the end of October. In five out of six games played during the month, she recorded more than 20 saves and maintained a goals-against average of 0.67.

Doug Derraugh ’91, Everett Family Head Coach of Women’s Ice Hockey, said, “Annelies has been tremendous for us early this season. She gives the whole team confidence every game.”

Looking ahead, Bergmann and Cornell’s No. 4-ranked women’s ice hockey team are scheduled to face Colgate in a home-and-away series at Lynah Rink. The games will be available on ESPN+.
