Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan participated in a pancake brunch event on March 26, 2025, at the New York State Assembly. Joined by Assemblymen Brian Miller, Brian Manktelow, and Chris Tague, Gallahan served pancakes with New York state maple syrup, highlighting both local produce and camaraderie during ongoing budget discussions.
Gallahan stated, “It is a fact of life: food brings people together, and nothing beats fresh pancakes served with pure maple syrup made right here in the great state of New York.” He expressed pride in working alongside his colleagues to provide breakfast for staff members and acknowledged the hard work of Assembly staff.
Emphasizing the significance of the local maple industry, Miller added, “It was a privilege to cook and serve pancakes with authentic New York state maple syrup and to pass a resolution recognizing March as Pure New York State Maple Month. Our maple producers play a vital role in our state’s economy, and we were proud to share pure New York maple syrup with our Assembly colleagues as we celebrated this great industry.”
Manktelow appreciated contributing to the event, noting, “Every year, I love making pancakes for our colleagues and providing the opportunity to let every Assembly member try some authentic New York state maple syrup. It’s an important product many New Yorkers are proud to produce and I am proud to serve.”
Tague highlighted the importance of recognizing the contribution of Assembly staff, stating, “The Assembly has hundreds of staffers and workers behind the scenes who often go unrecognized but provide an essential service to legislators and representatives in government. I was so honored to take a moment and make sure they were recognized with a full breakfast and thanks from me and my Assembly colleagues, and to showcase our state’s pure New York maple syrup producers and their product as a complement to the event made it all the more special.”
