Bryant tops Radford 15-2 as Auburn’s Owen Birchard earns win

Former Auburn High School standout Owen Birchard helped lead the Bryant Bulldogs to a 15-2 victory over the Radford Highlanders in NCAA Division I baseball on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m.

Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium hosted the contest, marking the second game between the two teams this season. The Bulldogs had previously fallen 5-4 to the Highlanders in their matchup on Friday, Feb. 27.

Birchard pitched two innings, surrendering two earned runs, walking one and striking out four batters.

The Bulldogs return to action at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium for another game against the Radford Highlanders.
