Cayuga County announces spring electronics recycling event for March 21

The Cayuga County Department of Planning & Economic Development has announced the 2026 Spring Electronics Recycling Event, which will offer residents a free way to dispose of unwanted or outdated electronics.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, and will be held at three locations across the county. The central site will be at Finger Lakes Mall in Auburn from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The northern location is the Ira County Highway Garage in Ira, open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The southern site is the Venice County Highway Garage in Venice Center, operating from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Pre-registration is required only for those planning to use the Finger Lakes Mall location. Residents can register online at https://www.sunnking.com/events/cayuga-county-residents-free-electronics-recycling-event or call (585) 637-8365 for assistance with registration.
