Charli Bennett and Cortland fall to Messiah in NCAA Division III basketball tournament

On Friday, March 6, Charli Bennett, a former Southern Cayuga High School standout, and her current team, the Cortland Red Dragons, were defeated 64-58 by the Messiah Falcons in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The matchup began at 5:15 p.m. at John A. Paulson Center and marked the first time the Red Dragons faced the Messiah Falcons in the tournament.

Cornell men’s track and field distance runners took part in the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on April 11. Freshman Zach Leader and senior Zachary Winnicki represented Cornell in the invitational 5,000 meters. More information about their performance will be available soon.
