Cornell senior men’s basketball player Cooper Noard was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District North Atlantic second team, according to a March 17 announcement. Noard is one of only three Ivy League players selected for the all-district teams, joining Nick Townsend from Yale and Robert Hinton from Harvard.
This recognition highlights Noard’s strong performance during his final season. He led the Ivy League in scoring with an average of 18.2 points per game while maintaining high efficiency, shooting 50 percent from the field, nearly 38 percent from three-point range, and over 90 percent from the free-throw line.
Noard surpassed 1,000 career points this season and finished seventeenth on Cornell’s all-time scoring list with a total of 1,187 points. He also moved up to fifth place in school history for three-pointers made with 228. Throughout the season, he scored in double figures in 27 games—including every contest against a Division I opponent—and recorded ten games with at least 20 points. His top performances included a career-high 34 points at Kent State and a 30-point effort on Senior Day against Brown. Notably, he achieved these numbers while averaging just under twenty-eight minutes per game, ranking him twenty-third in playing time among Ivy League players.
Cornell concluded its season with a record of fifteen wins and thirteen losses overall (eight wins and six losses in conference play). The team made its fifth straight appearance in Ivy Madness but was eliminated by regular-season champion Yale in the semifinals.
Noard’s selection underscores his impact on Cornell basketball and his standing among top performers in the Ivy League.
