The Cornell men’s outdoor track and field team competed in the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on April 11, where members of the distance squad participated in several events.

The event is notable as it provided an opportunity for Cornell’s athletes to test themselves against a competitive field during the outdoor season.

Freshman Zach Leader led the Big Red contingent by finishing 41st in the invitational 5,000 meters with a time of 14:51.81. Senior Zachary Winnicki finished in 65th place, clocking a time of 15:18.19.

The performances at Bucknell contribute to the team’s ongoing preparations for upcoming meets and provide experience for both younger and veteran runners on the squad.

Further details about additional results or future competitions are expected to be released soon.
