Cornell’s men’s basketball team secured a decisive 111-90 win over Dartmouth on Saturday at Leede Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire. The victory marked one of the most productive offensive performances in Cornell program history and set several records.

Senior Jake Fiegen led the Big Red with 22 points, making 7 of his 9 shots, including five three-pointers. He was one of five Cornell players to score in double figures. Senior Adam Hinton contributed 16 points, junior Jacob Beccles added 14 points and five assists, Cooper Noard scored 12, and Josh Baldwin had 11. Off the bench, Mateen Rafiq scored nine points, while senior DJ Nix recorded a career-high eight assists without committing a turnover.

Cornell shot over 63 percent from the field and made 19 three-pointers during the game. This broke a school record for most points against an Ivy League opponent—a mark previously set at 110 against Dartmouth in 1965—and also established a new high for points scored by Cornell in a road game. The team’s total of 19 three-pointers matched their fifth game this season with at least that many made from beyond the arc; before this year, Cornell had only achieved that feat five times in its history. Eight of the ten highest single-game three-point totals have come under head coach Jon Jaques.

The Big Red took control midway through the first half after trailing briefly by three points. A series of perimeter shots from Fiegen and Baldwin helped them build a double-digit lead before halftime. At halftime, Cornell led Dartmouth by a score of 59-43 after shooting nearly 66 percent from the floor and making more than half their attempts from beyond the arc.

In the second half, Cornell maintained its advantage, extending its lead to as much as 26 points. The team finished with a total of 25 assists on their 41 baskets and scored 20 points off turnovers.

For Dartmouth, Jayden Williams and Cameron McNamee each tallied 21 points while Brandon Mitchell-Day added 18 points and seven rebounds in his final collegiate appearance.

With this win, Cornell improved to an overall record of 15-12 (8-6 Ivy) and will enter next weekend’s Ivy Madness Tournament riding a three-game winning streak. The Big Red will face reigning conference champion Yale on Saturday, March 14 at Newman Arena at Bartels Hall. The semifinal matchup is scheduled for broadcast on ESPNU at 11 a.m., with the winner advancing to face either Harvard or Penn for an NCAA Tournament berth.
