The Cornell men’s polo team is preparing for a series of three matches this weekend as it aims to maintain its undefeated start to the season. The team will begin with a home game against the St. Croix Polo Club on Friday, October 31 at 7 p.m. Following that, Cornell will travel to face Babson on Saturday, November 1 at 7 p.m., and then Harvard on Sunday, November 2 at 11 a.m.
Cornell currently holds a 3-0 record after winning the UVa Fall Invitational last weekend. The team secured close victories over Texas A&M with a score of 11-8 and Virginia with a score of 10-9. This marks Cornell’s first title at the invitational since 2016.
Senior Benito Jaramillo Samper leads the team in scoring this season with 23 goals, including an impressive performance of 14 goals in the opening match against Gardnertown Polo Club. Sophomores Max Sponer, Malachi Light, and Dylan Tung have also contributed significantly to Cornell’s offense early in the season.
