The Cornell men’s polo team will conclude its home season against the Toronto Polo Club on Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center, according to a March 12 announcement.

This match marks the last opportunity for the Big Red to compete at home before heading into preparations for Division I nationals. The team recently experienced its second loss of the season, falling to Kentucky 18-13 at home. However, All-America senior Benito Jaramillo-Samper is expected to return as the squad prepares for national competition.

Fourth-year head coach Anthony Condo Jr. has led Cornell’s men’s polo program to a record of 43 wins and 19 losses, including a strong performance of 26-12 at their home venue. The team participates in NCAA varsity polo and operates from Ithaca, New York according to the official website.

Cornell Big Red Polo is affiliated with Cornell University and works in partnership with the United States Polo Association for its operations according to the official website. The program focuses on equestrian competition and features the Big Red as its mascot alongside other university athletics according to the official website.

Looking ahead, this weekend’s match serves as both a conclusion to the team’s home schedule and an important step toward national tournament play.
