The Cornell men’s soccer team, ranked 24th nationally, played to a scoreless draw against Harvard at Jordan Field on Saturday. The result brings Cornell’s record to 11-2-2 for the season, while Harvard stands at 5-5-5.

Despite being outshot by Harvard, Cornell managed to challenge the Crimson’s goalkeeper Cullen MacNeil with four shots on goal. Reece Campbell led the effort with two shots on target, while Sam Latona and Giorgos Diakos each contributed one shot on goal.

Cornell goalkeeper Ryan Friedberg made two saves during the match, earning his seventh shutout of the season.

“I thought a tie was a fair result today. Our usual sharpness wasn’t quite there and it impacted us on both sides of the ball. Harvard played with more desperation than we did—so credit goes to them and their staff for getting them ready,” said John Smith, Dr. Daniel P. Wood Head Coach of Men’s Soccer.

“We will look to get after it this week as we prepare for a big game next weekend against Columbia,” Smith added.

Cornell will finish its regular season against Columbia on November 8th at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be available for viewing on ESPN+.
