The Cornell men’s tennis team defeated No. 37 Princeton 4-2 at the Cordish Family Outdoor Tennis Center on April 10, marking head coach Silviu Tanasiou’s 200th career victory with the program. The Big Red improved their record to 14-3 overall and 2-1 in Ivy League play, while Princeton dropped to 14-9 and remains winless in conference matches.

Petar Teodorovic and Felipe Pinzon posted a win at No. 3 doubles, while Rushil Khosla and Rethin Pranav Senthil Kumar clinched the point with a close tiebreaker victory at No. 2 doubles after Princeton took the top spot.
Princeton gained an early lead in singles play with victories at positions six and one, but Cornell responded through its middle lineup. Eric Verdes tied up the score with a straight-set win at No. 3 singles, followed by Pinzon’s three-set comeback at No. 5 that gave Cornell its first lead of the day. Senthil Kumar then delivered a straight-set win over Aleksandar Mitric at No. 4 singles to secure the team victory for Cornell.
With this result decided, play was halted during the ongoing match at No. 2 singles.
