The Cornell softball team has been selected to finish seventh in the 2026 Ivy League Preseason Poll. Last season, Cornell ended with a 16-22 overall record and a 6-15 mark in conference play, placing them seventh in the league standings.

This year marks the first full season for Tara Smith as the Jan Rock Zubrow ’77 Head Coach of Softball. She is joined by new staff members Marisa Runyon and Georgina Corrick.

The preseason poll lists Princeton at the top with 126 points and 14 first-place votes, followed by Harvard with 110 points and two first-place votes. Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Yale, Cornell, and Penn round out the rankings.
