Cornell men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams will travel to Philadelphia for the 2026 Penn Relays, taking place from April 23 through April 25 at Franklin Field and the Mondschein Throws Complex on the University of Pennsylvania campus.

The Penn Relays is one of the most notable events in American track and field, attracting more than 180 collegiate programs from across the United States and Canada. The event brings together thousands of high school, Olympic development, and professional athletes for three days of competition that annually draws over 100,000 spectators.

First held on April 21, 1895, the Penn Relays is recognized as the longest-running track and field meet in the country. It has played a key role in developing relay racing into a central part of team-oriented competitions while also featuring individual championship performances before large crowds.

Cornell’s teams enter this weekend after strong performances at recent meets. They aim to build momentum against national-level competition during this historic event. The schedule includes multiple throwing events such as hammer throw, discus, shot put, javelin, as well as relay races like the women’s and men’s 4x100m Championships of America.

All track events are set inside Franklin Field while throwing competitions will be held at Mondschein Throws Complex. The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack with results available throughout the weekend.
