Daemen Wildcats, featuring Phil Nwugwo, secure NCAA Division II tournament win March 14

Phil Nwugwo, a former Victor Senior High School standout, helped lead the Daemen Wildcats to a 111-78 victory over the Goldey-Beacom Lightning on Saturday, March 14 in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The contest began at 5 p.m. in Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium and marked the first tournament meeting between Daemen and Goldey-Beacom Lightning.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play next on Sunday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m., again at Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium.
