Eight members of the Cornell University football team were named to the 2026 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, according to an announcement on April 8.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who have excelled both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, players must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 throughout their college careers.

The eight Cornell honorees are Damon Barnes, Jackson Bradley, Joey Cheshire, Kevin Ma, Declan Ochendowski, Michael O’Keefe, James Reinbold and Ben Sahakian. Their selection is part of a record-setting year for the honor society; this year’s class includes 2,596 players from 365 schools across the country—the largest group in the program’s two-decade history.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Since its inception in 2007, it has recognized a total of 23,568 student-athletes from 691 schools.

A full list of those honored in this year’s class can be found at footballfoundation.org.
