Ferris Hills to present eight-week Great Decisions global affairs series

Ferris Hills at West Lake will host the Foreign Policy Association’s “Great Decisions” series, a well-established program focused on global affairs education. The eight-week event begins on February 6 and continues every Friday at 10 a.m. until March 27. Each session includes a DVD lecture followed by a group discussion, and there is no fee for participation.

The series covers a range of topics including U.S. foreign policy under a potential second Trump administration, the impact of tariffs on the world economy, U.S.-China relations, alliance dynamics and nuclear proliferation risks, European security in light of the conflict in Ukraine, the role of multilateral institutions, U.S. engagement with Africa, and future prospects for human rights and international law.

Speakers featured through recorded lectures include G. John Ikenberry, Michael Mastanduno, Oriana Mastro, Gideon Rose, Thomas Wright, Scott Bessent, Jendayi E. Frazer, and Jose Enrique Alvarez.

Ferris Hills is located at 1 Ferris Hills in Canandaigua. The campus can be accessed via Peg Rayburn Drive from either the 3300 block of West Lake Road (County Road 16) or Middle Cheshire Road.
