The Town of Locke announced on Apr. 3 that it will host a moving sale at the former Locke Town Hall, located at 900 Main Street, on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The event aims to reduce waste by recycling or repurposing items no longer needed in the new town hall facility. According to the announcement, all proceeds from the sale will go toward the general fund in an effort to help control local tax bills.

Items available for purchase include metal folding chairs, office desks and chairs, metal storage cabinets, various kitchen wares, wood pews, miscellaneous office supplies, some antique furniture pieces and more. Everything will be sold as is.

The moving sale is being held in conjunction with a scrap tire collection event. The town council said officials and employees reserve the right to refuse any sale during the event.

Residents seeking more information are encouraged to contact the Locke Town Office at (315) 497-9338.
