Phil Nwugwo and Daemen Wildcats fall short in NCAA Division II Tournament bid

Phil Nwugwo, a former Victor Senior High School star, saw his current team, the Daemen Wildcats, edged out 77-74 by the Lander Bearcats in the NCAA Division II Tournament on Wednesday, March 25.

The matchup was held at 8:30 p.m. inside the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Nwugwo tallied four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal during his 14 minutes on the court.
