Senator Pam Helming has opened nominations for the 2025 Veterans Recognition Program. This initiative seeks to honor veterans who have made significant contributions in both military and civilian life.

The program is open to nominees residing in the 54th Senate District, which includes Livingston, Ontario, and Wayne counties, as well as the Monroe County towns of Chili, Mendon, Riga, Rush, and Wheatland. Nominations can be submitted by anyone through a form available on Senator Helming’s website or via a physical nomination form.

A ceremony will be held at Fort Hill Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua to recognize all nominees. One individual from each Senate District will be inducted into the New York State Veterans Hall of Fame for 2026 and invited to a ceremony at the State Capitol in May.

“As the daughter of a U.S. Air Force veteran and the mother-in-law of a West Point graduate who served as a U.S. Army Green Beret, I am eternally grateful for the commitment and sacrifice of our veterans and military families. Please join me in recognizing the service of our American heroes by nominating a local veteran,” stated Senator Helming.

For additional information or to obtain a nomination form, contact Senator Helming’s District Office at (315) 568-9816 or helming@nysenate.gov. Further details are also available on her website.
