Seneca County deputies arrest Syracuse man on warrant following Broome County incident

On January 1, 2026, deputies from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tyrease T. Young, a 27-year-old resident of Syracuse, New York, on an outstanding warrant. The arrest was related to a violation of pre-trial release conditions.

According to Sheriff Tim Thompson, “This arrest stems from a warrant for violation of pre-trial release. Young was turned over to Seneca County Deputies after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Broome County. Broome County Sheriff’s contacted Seneca County after they were aware of the warrant.”

After his arrest, Young was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center where he awaited CAP court proceedings.
