The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office responded on April 12 to a two-car accident with injuries at the intersection of State Route 96 and Brewer Road in the Town of Waterloo, according to Sheriff Timothy J. Thompson, Jr.

The incident involved vehicles driven by Jaimie Capitulik of Newark and Alex Crelley of Waterloo. Authorities said Capitulik was traveling east on Route 96 when Crelley’s vehicle pulled out in front, resulting in a collision.

Capitulik and her passenger, Shawn Ross, were treated at the scene before being transported to Geneva General Hospital for further evaluation. Crelley and his passenger, Angelina Sgarlata of Waterloo, were checked over by North Seneca Ambulance personnel but did not require additional treatment.

Crelley was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for failure to yield right of way.

Sheriff Thompson said deputies responded promptly following reports of injuries from the crash.
