Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson announced on April 15 that deputies arrested Travis T. Johnson, age 32, of Bayshore, New York, following a traffic stop in the Town of Romulus. Johnson faces charges including criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, failure to obey a traffic signal, and speeding.

The arrest occurred after deputies observed Johnson allegedly driving at 50 miles per hour through the Four Corners intersection in the Town of Ovid and failing to stop at the intersection. During the subsequent stop, authorities discovered that the vehicle Johnson was operating had been reported stolen from New York City earlier that day.

Johnson was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center where he was processed on all charges. The case has been assigned CR #26SH08209.

This incident highlights ongoing law enforcement efforts to address vehicle theft and ensure road safety within Seneca County.

Sheriff Thompson said his office remains committed to investigating such incidents and maintaining public safety.
