Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson announced on Mar. 26 that deputies arrested Joshua J. Farrell, born Aug. 24, 1990, on an active arrest warrant from the Town of Waterloo Court for trespassing.
The case is important as it involves allegations that Farrell entered a property in the Town of Waterloo after being told by deputies not to do so during a previous incident the night before.
According to Thompson, the arrest took place at 11:46 a.m. on Mar. 25 and relates to an incident that occurred at a residence in Waterloo on Oct. 27, 2025. Authorities allege that Farrell disregarded law enforcement instructions and returned to the property without permission.
After his arrest, Farrell was turned over to corrections officers pending arraignment in CAP court later that evening at 7:00 p.m., where an order of protection was requested for the victim involved in the case.
The sheriff’s office said Farrell would answer to the charge during his scheduled court appearance.
