On January 8, 2026, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested Leslie B. Meacham, a 38-year-old resident of Seneca Falls, New York. According to Sheriff Timothy Thompson, Meacham was charged with Misuse of Food Stamps, which is classified as a Class A Misdemeanor.

Authorities allege that in 2025, while receiving public assistance benefits from Seneca County, Meacham allowed others to use her food stamp benefits. This action is considered a violation of Social Services Law.

Meacham has been directed to appear at Seneca County CAP Court to respond to the charge.
