Graduates earn 1,243 degrees from SUNY College at Geneseo

About 19.2 percent of the 1,243 degrees and certificates handed out by SUNY College at Geneseo in 2017-18 were to students in social sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Geneseo conferred 239 bachelor's degrees in social sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 169 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 134 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences and 98 bachelor's degrees in speech communication and rhetoric.

The college enrolled 5,612 students for 2017-18, including 5,518 in undergraduate programs and 94 in graduate programs.
