About 23 percent of the 1,656 degrees and certificates handed out by Ithaca College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Ithaca conferred 222 bachelor's degrees and 85 doctor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 119 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 116 bachelor's degrees in radio and television and 90 bachelor's degrees in public relations, advertising, and applied communication.

The college enrolled 6,517 students for 2017-18, including 6,101 in undergraduate programs and 416 in graduate programs.
