Graduates earn 535 degrees from Hobart William Smith Colleges

About 30.6 percent of the 535 degrees and certificates handed out by Hobart William Smith Colleges in 2017-18 were to students in social sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Geneva conferred 164 bachelor's degrees in social sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general economics. Data shows the school gave out 70 bachelor's degrees in general economics, followed by 45 bachelor's degrees in general political science and government and 41 bachelor's degrees in mass communication/media studies.

The college enrolled 2,241 students for 2017-18, including 2,229 in undergraduate programs and 12 in graduate programs.
