57 percent of applicants to Hobart William Smith Colleges were admitted for fall 2018

At Hobart William Smith Colleges, 100 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Geneva enrolled 2,241 students in fall 2018, including 2,229 in undergraduate and 12 in graduate programs, data shows. 0.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

37 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 58 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Black or African American (6 percent).

The school admitted 57 percent of the 4,453 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
