Livingston County recorded 1.9% decrease in graduation rates in 2021-22 school year

Graduation rates in Livingston County schools fell 1.9% from the previous school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

There were 3,041 students who graduated in the 2021-22 school year, compared to 3,120 in the previous year.

Tioga, Rensselaer, and Livingston Counties had the state's 14th highest graduation rate with 91.0% graduating, while Nassau boasted the highest rate, with 95.3% of students graduating in the 2021-22 school year.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is better than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
