Which Livingston County district had largest enrollment in 2022-23 school year?

Livonia Central School District had the highest enrollment among Livingston County school districts, welcoming 1,437 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.8% of them were boys, and 48.1% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 94.3% of Livonia Central School District's total enrollment.

Among the eight districts in Livingston County, Dansville Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,335 students, while Avon Central School District welcomed 936 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Livonia Central School District roughly covers schools within Livingston County and has a main office in Livonia.

In the previous school year, Livonia Central School District also had the highest number of students among Livingston County districts.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
