Seneca County saw Romulus Central School top the list with most students enrolled in 2022-23 school year

Romulus Central School had the highest enrollment among Seneca County schools, welcoming 450 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 91.1% of the Romulus Central School's total enrollment.

Among the 11 schools in Seneca County, Waterloo High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 438 students, while Mynderse Academy welcomed 377 students and came in third in the 2022-23 school year.

Romulus Central School is part of Romulus Central School District, which roughly covers four schools within Seneca County and has a main office in Seneca Falls.

In the previous school year, Waterloo High School had the highest number of students among Seneca County schools.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
