As a State Senator, supporting job creation and economic development is a top priority. "Our children should have the opportunity to pursue a good job and rewarding career right here in the Finger Lakes and Upstate New York," she stated. As the daughter of a steelworker, she emphasized that home-grown jobs in manufacturing, farming, and small business are vital for the future of communities and families' success.

"That is why I believe items purchased with taxpayer dollars should be made in America," she continued. She stressed that tax dollars should be used to purchase products that directly support the American economy.

She encouraged people who agree with this sentiment to make their voices heard by signing her petition for American jobs and American-made products.
