Syracuse won the Goes Trophy and Stagg Cup on April 18, defeating Cornell and Navy in all four races held on Cayuga Inlet under moderate tailwind conditions.

The event saw Syracuse continue its dominance by securing its sixth consecutive Goes Trophy win in the 1V8+ race and its seventh straight Stagg Cup based on total team points. The Orange claimed victories in every race category, with Cornell finishing second in several events but unable to break Syracuse’s streak.

Racing began with the third varsity eight (3V8+), where Syracuse finished just under four seconds ahead of Cornell. In the first varsity eight (1V8+)—the main event for the Goes Trophy—Cornell was runner-up for the fourth time in five years. The second varsity eight (2V8+) also saw Syracuse finish ahead of Cornell, marking three consecutive years that Big Red placed second in this category. The closest contest for Cornell came during the final race, as their fourth varsity eight (4V8+) finished third behind Syracuse and Navy by less than a second.
