UR Medicine Thompson Health has received the silver Well Workplace Award from the Wellness Alliance, placing it among the healthiest workplaces in the country.

The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate a commitment to improving employee health and well-being. Recipients of the Well Workplace Award use the 7 Benchmarks model to guide their wellness programs.

“We are so proud that our strategic wellness programming builds resilience among our hardworking healthcare workforce. Meeting the rigorous criteria of the Wellness Alliance is confirmation of the support we provide to our associates,” said Vice President of Associate Services/Wellness Jennifer DeVault.

Thompson Health is one of only nine organizations nationwide to receive silver-level recognition this year. The health system offers several wellness initiatives for employees, including a free on-site fitness center, discounts at community fitness centers, exercise classes on site, nicotine replacement therapy, an on-site community supported agriculture program, a Little Free Library, cafeteria salad bar discounts, pet therapy sessions, sound baths, Mental Health First Aid courses, and a Zen Relaxation Room available around the clock for staff.
