All three urgent care centers operated by Thompson Health will expand their hours starting Sunday, February 22. The new schedule for the Canandaigua, Farmington, and Newark locations will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Patient registration at each center will remain open until 7:45 p.m.

Grant Alef, Director of Emergency Medicine Administration at Thompson Health, said the main reason for the change is to improve patient access. “A necessary component of serving our patients and community is being accessible, and this change provides consistent availability at all three locations,” Alef stated. He added, “It should help patients avoid delays in care and contribute to overall better outcomes and service.”

Kurt Koczent, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Thompson Health, said the expansion follows ongoing positive results from the urgent care teams. He highlighted that they have achieved patient satisfaction scores in the 97th percentile according to Press Ganey surveys, with the Canandaigua location reaching the 99th percentile. “These results reflect our strong culture of quality, compassionate care, and our commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience,” Koczent said.
