CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health is introducing a new support group for mothers, called “The Milk Bar.” The inaugural meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to noon.

This gathering will be held in the Birthing Center classroom on the second floor of Thompson Hospital, located at 350 Parrish Street.

According to the organizers, the group aims to provide “a safe and nurturing space designed for moms to come together, share experiences, and support one another on their motherhood journey.” It will be hosted by Courtney Stuhlman, a lactation consultant at Thompson. The support group is open to all mothers, regardless of breastfeeding status. Babies and children up to age two are also welcome.
