UR Medicine Thompson Health is set to host a program titled “Strong Bones: Osteoporosis Update 2025.” The event will take place on Wednesday, April 30, at the Sands Family YMCA located at 351 North Street in Canandaigua.

This event is free and open to the public, beginning at 12:30 p.m. No RSVP is required, and refreshments will be available for attendees.

The presentation will be led by Dr. Paul Rubery and Nurse Practitioner Deborah Horst from URMC Orthopaedics & Physical Performance. The session aims to cover several topics, including how osteoporosis affects bones, lifestyle choices for maintaining healthy bones, and medical treatments available.
