UR Medicine Thompson Health will hold a free session titled “Healing Within: Grief & Chair Yoga” on March 27 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. The event, led by Jennifer Muscato from the hospital’s Wellness Department, is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. in the Thompson Conference Center on the ground floor.

The session is intended for individuals coping with grief and aims to provide support through gentle and intentional movements. Organizers say participants will “gently move through the tension, anxiety and restlessness that are often associated with grief to embrace healing and peace.”

Hosted by Thompson’s Spiritual Care Department, the event does not require any prior yoga experience. Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle.

The program reflects ongoing efforts by Thompson Health to offer supportive resources for those experiencing loss or emotional distress. The hospital continues to provide wellness activities designed to foster healing within the community.

Future sessions or similar programs may be announced as part of Thompson Health’s commitment to holistic care.
