F.F. Thompson Hospital will be holding free classes for expecting parents at its Birthing Center in Canandaigua. The classes aim to help parents make informed decisions about how to feed their newborns.

The “Feeding Your Newborn” class is scheduled for Sunday, February 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. It will take place in the Birthing Center classroom on the hospital’s second floor at 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua. The session will address different feeding options, including breastfeeding, pumping, formula feeding, and combinations of these methods. There is no charge for attending.

Another session titled “Breastmilk for Your Newborn” will be held on Sunday, February 15, from 10 a.m. to noon in the same location. According to the hospital, this course provides “a supportive space for parents who want to feel confident and empowered” in feeding their newborn with human milk. This class is also offered at no cost.
