Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 50.9% were boys, and 49.1% were girls.
Data also showed that the most of students were white, making up 70.8% of the total enrollment in Auburn City School District.
Among the seven districts in Cayuga County, Moravia Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 850 students, while Cato-Meridian Central School District welcomed 846 students and ranked third in the 2024-25 school year.
Auburn City School District roughly covers schools within Cayuga County and has a main office in Auburn.
In the previous school year, Auburn City School District also had the highest number of students among Cayuga County districts.
New York’s public education system ranked second overall in the nation, but its K-12 performance landed at 31st place, according to an analysis by World Population Review.
