Columbia defeats Cornell softball 7-1 in series opener at Niemand-Robison Field

Cornell softball lost its series opener against Columbia by a score of 7-1 at Niemand-Robison Field. Early pitching difficulties set back Cornell despite efforts later in the game. The teams will face off again tomorrow in a doubleheader.
