Census Bureau: 80.3% of people in Cayuga County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 76,644 citizens living in Cayuga County in 2021, 80.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 61,519 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 31,665 were male, constituting 51.5%, and 29,854 were female, making up 48.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Cayuga County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79%.
