Senator Pam Helming recently honored Livingston County's Manilla Owen with a New York State Senate Citation. Owen was recognized as an Office for the Aging Older New Yorker’s Day Awardee.
Since 2019, Owen has served as a compassionate hospice chaplain, providing invaluable support to patients and their families during challenging times. Her dedication and empathy have garnered commendation from the Hospice Director, who praised her ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, offering comfort and guidance.
Helming expressed pride in recognizing Owen for her inspiring work and extended gratitude for all that she has done for the community.
