Which Schuyler County district had largest enrollment in 2022-23 school year?

Watkins Glen Central School District had the highest enrollment among Schuyler County school districts, welcoming 913 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.6% of them were boys, and 47.4% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 92% of Watkins Glen Central School District's total enrollment.

Among the three districts in Schuyler County, Odessa-Montour Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 780 students, while Bradford Central School District welcomed 261 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Watkins Glen Central School District roughly covers schools within Schuyler County and has a main office in Watkins Glen.

In the previous school year, Watkins Glen Central School District also had the highest number of students among Schuyler County districts.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
