Senator Pam Helming recently met 10-year-old Lucas Powell of Wolcott, NY, and visited his store, Farm Friendly Finds Boutique.
Lucas refers to himself as “The Kardiac Kid” due to being born with a heart defect. He has undergone four open-heart surgeries. Inspired by television shows like American Pickers and Pawn Stars, Lucas opened his own business, Farm Friendly Finds Boutique in Wolcott, where he sells antique furniture, toys, household goods, and collectibles. He also plans to contribute to organizations such as Make-A-Wish to support other children.
Senator Helming stated, “Meeting Lucas was truly inspiring and something that I will always remember. You can support Lucas's business at 5751 New Hartford Street, Wolcott, in the former Florentine Hendrick Elementary School.”
