Senator Pam Helming has honored Thrive to Survive, a non-profit organization based in Geneva, New York, with the New York State Senate Empire Award. The recognition comes as the organization surpasses $1 million in donations.

Thrive to Survive focuses on providing support to adults diagnosed and treated for cancer in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, Schuyler, and Yates Counties. The organization's efforts aim to alleviate stress for patients so they can concentrate on recovery and family life.

"Since its founding in 2012, Thrive to Survive has been a lifeline for families across Geneva and the Finger Lakes," said Senator Helming. "By providing emergency financial assistance for co-pays, monthly bills, and essential expenses, this organization brings much-needed hope and stability to patients and families during life’s most challenging times."

Pamela Venuti, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Thrive to Survive expressed gratitude for the award. "Receiving the New York State Senate Empire Award is truly an honor. This award is a confirmation of the commitment Thrive to Survive founders, board members, and community supporters have for providing cancer support programs," she stated. "We are incredibly grateful to Senator Helming for this recognition."
