Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan has opened a new satellite office in Moravia. The office, located at the Moravia Town Hall on State Route 38, will operate on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It aims to provide constituents with an opportunity to express their views on state matters and seek help with state agencies.

“I am excited to open this new office to best serve my constituents, giving them another way they can reach out to me with their concerns. As your assemblyman, I’m committed to being present in the great communities that I serve and bringing your voice to state government. Many thanks to the Town of Moravia for hosting my new office,” said Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan.

Town of Moravia Supervisor Eddie Shea highlighted the need for such an office due to the geographical spread of the Assembly District. “The first time the assemblyman and I met we spoke of the challenges associated with the design of the Assembly District,” Shea said. “With the district spread from west to east, it was clear there was a need for a presence in the eastern region to make it easier for people to have contact with his office. It only took a minute to realize that Moravia was a great location for that satellite office.”

Assemblyman Gallahan represents New York's 131st Assembly District, which includes parts of Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Cortland, Broome, Chenango, and Madison Counties.
