LIVINGSTONE COUNTY: COVID-19 Response as of Sept. 18

Livingston County issued the following announcement on Sept.18.

• There have been 211 confirmed cases in Livingston County. Visit www.livingstoncounty.us/1207/COVID-19 for more detailed information.

• New York State DMV is expanding online services. The DMV will be starting a pilot program to offer the learner permit test and vehicle registration online.

• Governor Cuomo announced that the Special Enrollment Period for uninsured New Yorkers will be extended through December 31, 2020. Interested New Yorkers can apply for coverage through the NY State of Health marketplace at: https://info.nystateofhealth.ny.gov/ or directly through insurers.

• Governor Cuomo announced that New York schools will be required to report the number of positive tests. A dashboard for public viewing is available at https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/ .

• The Livingston County Department of Health is offering COVID-19 diagnostic testing on a limited basis by appointment only. Please call (585) 243-7270 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to determine if you qualify for testing.

• Testing is available to all New Yorkers statewide. Visit https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-testing for more information.

• A travel advisory is in effect for individuals traveling from states with significant community spread of COVID-19 to NYS, requiring quarantine for 14 days when visiting or returning to New York State. Visit https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory for more information.
